LRP, the Location Reference Points for roads are generally the existing permanent objects like km posts that can be referenced for measuring the chainages or the point of starting or end of the road. There may be other objects also like the bridges, culverts, road cross-section, any histerical permanent object belonging to the road etc. The LRP must have the longitude and latitude by which its position is defined. The location of any activity on any road are done are referenced by the LRP.
