Roads and Highways Department (RHD) under the Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges has been allocated public funds from the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh (GoB) for carrying out Road Condition Assessment of RHD Road Network by engaging Individual Consultant (National) for 18 (Eighteen) Months. The Superintending Engineer (RHD), HDM Circle (hereinafter referred to as the ‘Client’) now invites Request for Application (RFA) from eligible applicants for the positions described below:

Data Acquisition Consultant

Educational Qualification

Minimum B. Sc Engineering (Civil) from any reputed University.   

Professional Experience and Adequacy for the Assignment:

1.        Minimum 5 (five) years of experience with reputed Civil Engineering Firms;

2.        Experience in road condition assessment survey will get preference (number of such assignments need to be mentioned with brief description of scope of works and duration); 

Suitability:

1.        Must be proficient in using MS Word and MS Excel and shall have experience to work with MS Access or equivalent database software; shall have knowledge on Global Positioning System (GPS) and its operation. Training in database software/GIS applications or relevant area will be preferred;

2.        Shall have physical fitness to carry out intensive road survey work traveling remote areas throughout the country.

Junior Data Acquisition Consultant

Educational Qualification

Minimum Diploma in Civil Engineering from any Government Institutions.

Professional Experience and Adequacy for the Assignment

1.        Minimum 8(eight) years of experience with reputed Civil Engineering Firms;

2.        Experience in road condition assessment survey will get preference (number of such assignments need to be mentioned with brief description of scope of works and duration);

Suitability

1.  Training in MS Office applications or relevant area;

2.  Shall have physical fitness to carry out intensive road survey work traveling remote areas throughout the country.
Consultants will be selected using the Selection of Individual Consultant (SIC) method in accordance with the Public Procurement Rules 2008. It is expected that the services will be commenced from October 2018 and shall be completed on  March 2020 (18 Months).
 
Interested Consultants are required to submit their application in accordance with the Standard Application Form (PS4) which may be obtained from the office of the undersigned during normal office hours or from the notice board of RHD website  (rhd.portal.gov.bd). The application shall be delivered in sealed envelope by 12:00 pm on 05 September 2018 to the Superintending Engineer (RHD), Room No-G/201, HDM Circle, Sarak Bhaban, Tejgaon, Dhaka-1208 and be clearly marked the name of the post applied on the envelope. Applicants who are already in employment shall have to send their application through proper channel, otherwise their applications will not be considered.
 
The Procuring Entity reserves the right to accept or reject any or all the RFA without assigning any reason whatsoever.
