Request for Expression of Interest (EOI) of Third Shitalakhya Bridge Project.

The Employer intends to prepare a short list of International Consulting Firms, each in association with joint Bangladeshi-Saudi qualified engineering firms for Supervision Consultancy Services of the project.
Short listing of the consulting firms will be made following the procedure indicated in Public Procurement Rules-2008 (PPR-2008).
The services to be provided by the Consultants will include but not necessarily limited to:
a) Construction Supervision for Quality control
b) Progress Monitoring and Reporting
c) Preparation of Interim / Final Payment Certificates
d) Compliance Monitoring of Environmental Issues
e) Assistance for Implementation of Social Action Plan
f) Contract Closing Activities Including Dispute / Claims Resolution / Arbitration, if any
g) Preparation of Completion / Taking Over Certificates and Project Completion Report
h) Preparation of Defect Liability Certificates
* The application is for supervision consultancy Services of Extradosed/ Pre-Stressed Concrete (PSC) Twin Box & PSC Pre cast Third Shitalakhya Bridge as design build. The applicant must have association with joint Bangladeshi- Saudi reputed engineering firms having relevant experience for the supervision Consultancy Services. In order to enhance the capability of the Group, another firm can be associated but the total number of firms shall not be more than three. The application is open only to the International Consulting firms who must have previous experience of rendering consultancy services for supervision of two lane highway multispan prestressed concrete box girder bridge of length not less than 800m within last 10 (ten) years. The Lead firm must have the above stated experience with last 10 (ten) years and the associated firm (s) must have experience of rendering Consultancy services of supervision of Pre-stressed concrete girder bridge within Last 10 (ten) years. The Consultants are to provide information to demonstrate that they are qualified to perform the services by submitting their company’s brochure summarising the firm (s) facilities and areas of expertise, description of similar assignments, experience in similar operating conditions, availability of appropriate professional qualification and experience among their staff etc of each firm in the group, managerial strength and financial capacity of the firm (s).
3 (three) sets of EOI (1 original + 2 copy) with supporting documents must be delivered at or before 4.00 PM on 20-05-2010, in sealed envelopes, marked with “EOI FOR SUPERVISION CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THIRD SHITALAKHYA BRIDGE” at Bandar Upazilla, Narayangonj” to the signatory addressed and any late submission will be rejected.
The Employer will not be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by the firms in connection with the preparation or delivery of the EOI. The procuring entity reserves the right to accept or reject all the Expression of Interest (EOI) without assigning any reason.
